Concord Residents Encouraged To Join Search And Rescue Team
This is a volunteer job where you might help save someone's life. You will be given the training and knowledge to prepare you for the task.

CONCORD, CA — The Contra Costa County Sheriff's Search and Rescue (SAR) Team is seeking volunteers.
SAR volunteers serve as an important resource for missing persons and their families. The team is made up of a diverse group of unpaid volunteers who give their time and energy to regularly train and respond to callouts, so “that others may live.”
This is a volunteer job where you might help save someone’s life. You will be given the training and knowledge to prepare you for the task.

According to the sheriff's office, team members call it, “The best volunteer job ever.”
The New Member Orientation will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, at 50 Glacier Drive, Martinez.

The orientation will last for approximately one hour and will provide more information about the Search and Rescue Team and how to join.
You must attend a New Member Orientation in order to pick up an application.
If you already have an application, the deadline for returning it is Friday, July 9th.
