Concord Toastmaster Receives Award at District Conference

Officers of Confidence Builders Toastmasters attended the May District 57 Annual Conference. Donna Loo and Doug Lower of Concord and Monica Sullivan of Walnut Creek attended the conference in San Ramon to participate in educational sessions and vote in the District elections.

At the conference, Sullivan was awarded the District Triple Crown Award to recognize that she earned three educational awards since July 2018.

Per Sullivan, “I’m proud receive this award. Toastmasters recently converted to a new online educational program which has been challenging, but I welcome the change.”

Confidence Builders is a local chapter of Toastmasters International. Confidence Builders meets every Tuesday at 7:15pm at the John Muir Medical Center, 2540 East Street, Concord Room 1 in Concord. The club has been meeting in Concord since 1988.

Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development. The organization has more than 357,000 memberships. Members improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending one of the 16,600 clubs in 143 countries that make up the global network of meeting locations.
