CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA -- A Bay Point man was arrested Tuesday morning on suspicion of child molestation as well as distribution and possession of child pornography, according to Contra Costa County sheriff's officials.
Pablo Ruiz, 33, was arrested March 21 after a multi-agency 10-month investigation led by the sheriff's sexual assault unit.
The investigation was launched after authorities in Virginia notified the Silicon Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force that Ruiz was suspected of trading child porn online in April 2016.
