Cops Seeking Suspect Who Robbed 7-Eleven At Oak Grove and Monument Blvd.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA – Police are seeking a man who allegedly robbed a Concord 7-Eleven at knifepoint early this morning, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Officers responded around 1:55 a.m. to a 7-Eleven at 1096 Oak Grove Road after receiving a report that a robbery had occurred there, according to police.
After a preliminary investigation, officers concluded that a man walked into the store wearing a yellow cloth covering his face and was armed with a fixed-blade knife.

He demanded cash from the register and the store employee complied, handing the suspect cash, police said.
The suspect then fled on foot, heading toward Oak Grove Road.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate him, according to police.

He was described a Hispanic man about 5 feet 5 inches tall with a medium build who wore a dark hooded sweatshirt and black baggy pants, police said.
No one was injured during the robbery. Officers are attempting to obtain surveillance video footage from the area to see if it contains further clues, police said.
