Designer Fragrance Heists Hit Concord Macy’s
Surveillance video shows suspects grabbing high-end fragrances during a daytime theft at the Macy's store inside the Sunvalley Mall.
CONCORD, CA — A crush of masked thieves invaded a women's perfume section and walked away with thousands of dollars in designer fragrances in a series of brazen daytime thefts, according to reports.
At least $10,000 in merchandise was stolen, including designer perfumes from Dior, Chanel, and Carolina Herrera, according to KTVU, which obtained a video of the perfume heist.
A group can be seen on the video rushing the women’s fragrance section at a Macy's inside Sunvalley Mall shortly after noon Friday. They scatter back and forth, stuffing fragrance sets into shopping bags.

Witnesses said the same group may have struck the store multiple times in recent days, including over Valentine’s Day weekend, according to KTVU, which reported that one man said his girlfriend witnessed one of the incidents. “You never know when somebody might have a weapon,” he told KTVU.
Macy’s said it does not comment on specific incidents, according to KTVU.
Retail workers at the store told KTVU the repeated thefts have left staff anxious. One employee reportedly became emotional after the incidents, saying workers feel “on pins and needles” during shifts, KTVU reported.
