FREE Kids Bike Rodeo! Join the East Bay Bicycle Coalition for a day of kids biking fun.
Our team of youth cycling instructors has planned a fun-filled bike rodeo to coincide with the Monument Carnival of Health in Concord. The rodeo includes a bike safety course, skills building, walking and bicycling safety instruction, rides and free helmets for the kids. Our Kids Bike Rodeos are for grades 3-6 approximately. We will provide bikes and helmets, or feel free to bring your own! Skills Taught: * How to Perform a Bicycle Safety Check * Proper Helmet Fitting * Proper Starting and Stopping * Signaling and Communication * Shifting Gears * Scanning Ahead * Shoulder Checking * Obstacle Avoidance.
