Fatal School Parking Lot Fight In Concord Leaves Man Dead
Concord police launched a major crimes investigation into the death of a man involved in a fight at an elementary school.
CONCORD, CA — A man died after a violent confrontation unfolded in a school parking lot on Wednesday evening, leaving investigators to piece together what led to the fatal outcome.
The confrontation happened at the Sun Terrace Elementary School, according to the Concord Police Department.
Police received reports of a fight at about 5:20 p.m. involving several adults in the front parking lot on Floyd Lane. When officers arrived, they found a man on the ground.

Paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital, where doctors later pronounced him dead, police said in a statement.
Authorities from the Concord Police Major Crimes Unit and from the Mt. Diablo Unified School District interviewed the people involved in the altercation.

Police said they are no longer searching for suspects and that there is no threat to the public. But detectives continue to examine what caused the fight and the man’s death.
