Fire At Concord Home Displaces Residents
A neighbor saw flames coming from the home and called to report, a Contra Costa County fire spokesman said.

CONCORD, CA — An accidental fire that started in a clothes dryer in a Concord home this morning displaced two people, a Contra Costa County fire spokesman said. Someone called at 8:35 a.m. from two homes down to report the fire in the 2000 block of Highland Drive, spokesman Ryan Bain said.
The residents of the home got out safely into the backyard and no one was injured. But two adults will have to find another place to live at least temporarily.
Bain said what caused the fire in the dryer is still under investigation.
