Fire Reported Near I-680 In Concord Extinguished

A column of smoke from the fire could be seen throughout East Bay.

CONCORD, CA — Firefighters extinguished a fire on southbound Interstate 680 at State Route 242 in Concord Friday afternoon. The blaze was reported just after noon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP and Contra Costa County Fire responded. No other information is available.
