Fire In Suspected Pot Grow House Under Control

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA – Firefighters quickly controlled a fire at a suspected illegal marijuana grow operation in Discovery Bay this morning, according to East Contra Costa Fire Protection District officials.

The single-alarm fire in the 2400 block of Aberdeen Lane was reported at 7:23 a.m. and firefighters were able to bring it under control by 8:47 a.m., Fire Chief Hugh Henderson said.

The district firefighter's union Twitter account reported that the structure is a possible marijuana grow house.

No additional information was immediately available and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
