Shootings, Kidnapping Reported At Home Marijuana Dispensary

The homeowner was kidnapped at gunpoint in her Bay Point driveway, the sheriff's office said. [Breaking]

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA – A shooting at a Bay Point home marijuana dispensary Tuesday resulted in injuries and an arrest, a Contra Costa County Sheriff's spokesman said.

At about 1:41 p.m., deputy sheriffs responded to the reported shooting in the 100 block of Crivello Avenue, where they found a gunshot victim outside the dispensary.

The deputies learned that the victim was one of two suspects who had apparently come to the location to commit an armed robbery, sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said.

Two suspects reportedly robbed the dispensary after kidnapping the homeowner at gunpoint in her driveway, forcing her into her home, Lee said. During the robbery, gunfire was exchanged.

Several of the home's occupants were tied up and forced into a room. One occupant was shot by the suspects, leaving him with wounds that required hospital care, but were not thought to be life-threatening, Lee
said.

The suspect found outside the home was taken to a hospital for treatment of his gunshot wound. He will be booked at the Martinez Detention Facility upon release, Lee said.
