Friendly Wager On Tonight's Basketball Game

More than just the league standings will be at stake this evening when Northgate High travels to Concord High for a boys basketball game.

Pizza and hot dogs will also be on the line.

Lance Howland, the editor of Walnut Creek Patch, and Adalto Nascimento, the editor of Concord/Clayton Patch, have a friendly wager on the contest.

If Northgate wins, Adalto will treat Lance to lunch at in downtown Concord.

If Concord wins, Lance will treat Adalto to lunch at in Walnut Creek.

Bets aside, the game should be a good one.

The Broncos have won four in a row. They have a 13-8 record overall and are 5-2 in league play.

The Minutemen had won three in a row before losing Tuesday night to College Park High. They are 15-7 overall and 5-3 in league.

The game begins at 7 p.m. at Concord High. Patch will cover the game and provide a game summary late Friday evening.
