Holland Tract Fire: Evacuations Lifted In Wind-Driven Blaze
A strike team with engines from San Ramon, Moraga, Concord and Antioch were among those assisting on the 75-acre fire east of Oakley.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — Evacuations were lifted around 8 p.m. Monday after crews with the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District and assisting agencies gained the upper hand on a wind-driven vegetation fire that ultimately burned 75 acres east of Oakley.
One home was immediately threatened as the Holland Tract fire broke out at 2:14 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Tranquility Bay Road and Holland Tract Road in the Knightsen area.
Evacuations were ordered for homes near the Brentwood Marina as the wildfire spread to 40 acres by 6 p.m., according to Steve Aubert, spokesman for the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District, said.

Five engine crews that are part of a strike team from San Ramon, Moraga, Concord and Antioch responded to help battle the blaze. Off-duty ECCFD firefighters were also asked to return to work.
The California Highway Patrol responded to provide traffic control on Delta Road at the Holland Tract Bridge.

No injuries or structure damage were reported.
Update: 3:42 the Holland Tract fire is wind driven and has grown to over 20 acres. A type 3 strike team (5, 4x4 fire engines) are responding from, San Ramon, Moraga, Concord, and Antioch.
