Three suspects, one armed, entered the home through a garage door and restrained the two occupants, officials said.
LAFAYETTE, CA — Two people were restrained during a home invasion robbery Tuesday night, less than a month after a similar robbery in a nearby neighborhood, police said.
At about 11 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a 911 call about a home invasion in the 1100 block of Crestmont Drive in Lafayette.
When officers arrived, they found two victims who said that at about 7:30 p.m. three people entered the home though an open garage door, assaulted the male victim and restrained both residents, according to officials with the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office, which provides
police services to the town.

Both suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital.
The robbery and assault come on the heels of a Halloween night home invasion in the 1300 block of Martino Road, about 3 miles from Tuesday's incident.
During the Halloween robbery, two people were injured by three suspects armed with a pistol. The victims in that incident were tied up after answering a knock on their door at about 8:30 p.m.
The suspects spent about an hour robbing the home before fleeing in the victims' BMW, which was later found abandoned in Oakland.
Police have not detained any suspects in either robbery.
