House Catches Fire In Concord

Roadways were closed for over two hours as firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze.

CONCORD, CA — A house fire Tuesday night near the intersection of Blackfield Drive and Leland Way prompted authorities to close nearby roadways.

The fire was reported shortly after 7:30 p.m. in the 2300 block of Blackfield, east of state Highway 242 near Meadow Lane.

Around 8 p.m., Concord police officers were at the scene providing roadblocks and advised the public to stay away.
