I-80 Reopened In Contra Costa Co. After Fiery Crash

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — The California Highway Patrol has reopened eastbound Interstate 80 at Cummings Skyway following a fatal crash involving a wrong way driver.
The crash occurred at about 3:40 a.m. Sunday and caused the freeway to be shut down for four hours.
One vehicle, a Tesla, overturned vertically and caught on fire with a person trapped inside. The other car involved was reported to be almost on top of it.
