Clayton Runner Finishes Boston Marathon

Clayton's Peter Bamforth ran the race Monday at an 8:45 mile pace.

Kenya's Geoffrey Mutai ran the fastest marathon in recorded history on Monday, and Clayton resident Peter Bamforth also took part in the 115th annual Boston Marathon.

Bamforth's official time was 3:49.50, meaning he covered the 26.2-mile race at a pace of 8:45.95 per mile. Mutai's time: 2:03.2, a 4:41.54 pace.
