Police say no one was injured in the shooting reported at Sun Valley Mall.

CONCORD, CA — Concord police said a man who shot his gun Sunday in the Sun Valley Mall has contacted them and has been identified as a California Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections employee. The Concord Police Department sought the public's help in identifying the man after officers responded to Sunvalley Shopping Center at 4:07 p.m. to investigate a report that a shooting had just occurred.
Witnesses told officers a man dropped a gun near Cinnabon and upon picking it up, shot it one time, Concord PD said in a statement posted to social media.
In a surveillance image released by police, a male suspect is shown with a woman whom investigators believe he left the mall with.
