Motorcyclist Killed In Clayton Road Crash: Concord Police
The motorcyclist who died was a 20-year-old Concord resident, police said.
CONCORD, CA — A 20-year-old Concord man died in a motorcycle crash Friday morning on Clayton Road. Concord police officers were dispatched at 7:15 a.m. to the collision between a motorcycle and a car on Clayton near Heather Drive, according to Concord Police Department Traffic Cpl. Ghaznawi Murtazah.
The motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Clayton toward Heather, and as he reached the intersection, collided with the vehicle, Murtazah said.
The motorcyclist was taken to John Muir Health, Walnut Creek Medical Center, where he died from his injuries. His name was not released by police because the coroner's office must first properly notify the deceased's next of kin.

The other driver involved in the crash, a 46-year-old Pittsburg resident, stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, Murtazah said.
One lane was closed in each direction of Clayton Road for three hours as the crash was investigated.

"Drugs/alcohol do not appear to be a contributing factor," Murtazah said. "As this is an ongoing investigation, no further details are being released at this time."
