CONCORD, CA — A pair of kickoff rallies in Concord and Pleasant Hill will launch a miles-long No Kings protest stretching into Walnut Creek this Saturday, organizers said.

Rallies will take place at 10:30 a.m. at Sunvalley Boulevard in Concord, followed by one at 11:30 a.m. at Pleasant Hill City Hall. After the rallies, protesters will form a "Solidarity Span" along North Main Street and Contra Costa Boulevard from Sunvalley Shopping Center to Broadway Plaza, where they will hold signs and wave at passing cars.

More than 3,000 No Kings events are scheduled across the country, nearly 1,000 more since the first protests, according to a new release. In the East Bay, events are planned in Livermore, Lafayette, Oakland, San Leandro, Berkeley, Hayward, Albany, and Alameda.
