No Sex Assault Charges Filed Against De La Salle Football Player
The student, 15, was at juvenile hall accused of assaulting a girl from neighboring Carondelet school. Investigation is ongoing. [BREAKING]

CONCORD, CA – A 15-year-old Concord boy accused of sexually assaulting a girl on a high school campus after a football game in November was released from juvenile hall Thursday night, according to the Contra Costa County district attorney's office.
The De La Salle High School student was arrested Tuesday and was released without being charged, although the investigation is still on-going, said Deputy District Attorney Jean Skilling.
The boy is accused of assaulting the girl, a Carondelet High School student, on the De La Salle campus on Nov. 18, according to police.

The girl told Carondelet principal Kevin Cushing about the attack on Nov. 21, and Cushing immediately contacted Concord police, Cushing said in a statement.
"I am proud of the courage shown by this young woman in coming forward with this information," Cushing said. "The Carondelet community will stand behind her."

The suspect's name was not released because he is a minor and police did not provide any additional information about the crime.
The boy is a football player at De La Salle, a nationally recognized powerhouse school.
The all-boys De La Salle Catholic school is right next to Carondelet, an all-girls Catholic school. The schools share some activities and juniors and seniors can share classes as well.
