• A Familiar Creamery is Coming to the Willows in Concord Bay Area Telegraph (bayareatelegraph.com) — Cold Stone Creamery is opening a new shop at The Willows Shopping Center in central Concord, giving locals another ice cream option alongside several new restaurants. The store is listed as "coming soon," with all tenants in the remodeled Building C expected to be operating by the end of August and a center-wide celebration planned for September 24. The project is part of a broader facelift bringing more dining, patios, and updated landscaping to the complex.
   

• Senate bill, other measures, look to solve problematic Bay Area e-bike use (eastbaytimes.com) — Bay Area officials are tightening oversight of high-speed e-bikes and electric motorcycles, pushing state legislation and local rules to keep kids and trail users safer. Concord is part of a new six-jurisdiction collaboration with the Park District, Dublin, Danville, Walnut Creek, and the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office to coordinate education, enforcement, and safer routes as students head back to school.
