Pepper Spray Used In Fight Sickens Patrons At Concord Play Space
Police are still investigating the incident Saturday night at The Jungle.

CONCORD, CA — More than two dozen infants, children and adults were sickened Saturday night when someone used pepper spray inside a popular family entertainment venue in Concord, police said. Officers were initially dispatched at 7:08 p.m. Saturday to The Jungle, an indoor play space at the Willows Shopping Center on Diamond Boulevard, in response to reports of a fight between young people, according to a Concord Police Department statement.
Dispatchers then started receiving calls that pepper spray had been used during the fight which involved somewhere between five and 10 young people, police said.
As officers arrived at the scene they were told everyone involved in the fight had already left the premises. Meanwhile, those exposed to the pepper spray were experiencing symptoms such as vomiting and difficulty breathing, police said.

Emergency personnel with the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District were "immediately dispatched to check on the customers," police said.
All those affected by the pepper spray were treated and released by medical personnel at the scene, according to police.

"At this time we are still reviewing surveillance footage and talking to the patrons [who] were on scene," police said Saturday night. "We do not have any suspect information to release at this time."
