Antioch police are seeking the public's assistance to identify the woman.
ANTIOCH, CA — As the Antioch Police Department continued working to identify a woman whose body was found on fire on a trail early Monday, investigators released images of jewelry she was wearing.
"We seek the public's assistance in identifying the female victim located yesterday morning on the Mokelumne Trail between Gentrytown Drive and Lucena Way," Antioch police Spokesperson Darryl Saffold said in a news release. "Unfortunately, due to the severity of her sustained burns, we are having difficulty identifying her."
The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded at 5:36 a.m. Monday when a resident called to report a small fire on a paved city trail. Firefighters found a human body on fire and as they worked to extinguish the flames, they requested a response from Antioch police.

At the time of her discovery, she was wearing a ring on her right ring finger, as depicted in the above photos, and a metal necklace with a pendant with the letter "K" attached. While the "K" was the only letter connected to the chain, it is possible there were previously more letters, police said.
Police also said the victim had extensive dental work done in the past. She was missing three left lower molars and had a distinctive gap between her top front middle teeth
