Habitat for Humanity Unveils New ReStore in Concord
Concord city staff and members of the Concord Chamber of Commerce will participate in Friday’s Grand Opening of Habitat for Humanity’s new 11,000 square-foot ReStore in Concord, the very first ReStore in Contra Costa County. Habitat for Humanity ReStores are nonprofit home improvement and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, home accessories, quality building materials, and appliances to the public at a fraction of the cost. Each ReStore location accepts donations in good condition. ReStore profits go directly back into the community, supporting local Habitat programs to provide affordable homeownership opportunities to working families.
The 11,000 square-foot Habitat’s ReStore, located at 1500 Monument Boulevard in Concord, is the first to open in Contra Costa County. Festivities begin Friday, July 24th at 9:30 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and continue through Saturday, July 25th, when visitors can enjoy a free lunch at noon.
