Roadside Fire Slows Traffic On Highways 680, 242 In Concord
Breaking: The fire at the junction of the two highways was reported around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA -- A small roadside fire broke out late Wednesday afternoon in Concord and was affecting traffic on Interstate Highway 680 and state Highway 242, California Highway Patrol reported.
The fire at the interchange of the two highways was reported about 4:30 p.m. and firefighters were on scene, according to the CHP.
Firefighters said there were several units on scene, despite being a small fire.
