Rumors Of School Threat Prompt Concord Police Presence: PD

Officers were at Ygnacio Valley High School on Tuesday because of rumors of a school shooting threat, Concord police said.

CONCORD, CA — Rumors about a threat of a shooting at Ygnacio Valley High School prompted a police presence Tuesday at the school.

There were rumors going around Monday about a possible shooting Tuesday, Concord police confirmed.

"There was never any credible threat," a Concord police spokesperson told Patch. "Regardless we still went down there and had officers there all day."
