BREAKING: The 20-year-old Petaluma man was reportedly caught in the act.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A Petaluma man suspected of breaking into a vehicle at a Park & Ride lot early Wednesday morning was tracked down and arrested after he was allegedly caught in the act. According to California Highway Patrol Officer Jonathan Sloat, the owner of the vehicle said he returned to his truck at the lot at Lakeville Highway and U.S. Highway 101 near Petaluma around 2 a.m. to find a window broken and a man removing items from his vehicle.
The victim reportedly confronted the suspect, who allegedly held up something in his hands and took a shooting stance. The victim retreated and the suspect drove away in a Dodge Magnum, Sloat said
The CHP notified Petaluma police, who detained the suspect, Casey Brown, 20, of Petaluma, on Garfield Drive at Caulfield Lane. The victim identified Brown as the burglary suspect, Sloat said.
