Shooting At Concord Condo Complex: Victim In Critical Condition
Police are searching for suspects in the shooting Monday night that left a man with a single gunshot wound to his chest.

CONCORD, CA — A man was shot Monday night at a Concord condominium complex and was hospitalized in critical condition, Concord police said. The shooting in the parking lot of a complex in the 4800 block of Clayton Road was reported at 9:15 p.m. by a 911 caller. Officers responded and found a man lying in the parking lot with a single gunshot wound to his chest, according to a Concord Police Department statement.
The victim was rushed to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where he was listed in critical condition as of early Tuesday morning.
"Concord Police Department K9 units and patrol units, with the assistance of California Highway Patrol helicopter, conducted a search for the suspects in the area, but were unable to locate them," police officials said.

The Concord Police Department Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and was continuing its investigation Tuesday, which includes "actively pursuing leads," police say.
