Suspect In Motel 6 Homicide Caught In South Dakota: Concord PD
The U.S. Marshals Service arrested Adam Renfroe in Pierre, South Dakota, Concord police said.

CONCORD, CA — One of two homicide suspects sought by Concord police was captured Wednesday by the U.S. Marshals Service some 1,500 miles away from Concord in Pierre, South Dakota. Detectives went to South Dakota to arrange the extradition of Adam Renfroe, 32, of Brentwood, back to Contra Costa County, Concord police said Thursday.
Renfroe and Robert Brown, 40, of Bay Point were identified by police as suspects in the fatal shooting July 12 of Daniel Schrader, 36, at Motel 6 on Clayton Road in Concord.
Schrader, a transient, was found suffering from gunshot wounds when officers responded to reports of a possible shooting at the motel. He was rushed to a hospital but died from his injuries, police said.

Detectives pieced together information and quickly identified Renfroe and Brown as the suspects.
Warrants were obtained for their arrests on suspicion of murder; police described the pair as armed and dangerous and advised anyone who knew their whereabouts to call 911.

"The second suspect, Robert Brown remains wanted in connection to this homicide," Concord police said Thursday. "His whereabouts are unknown."
A possible motive in the shooting has not been disclosed by police.
