Teen Arrested In Antioch Police Chase
Around 8:35 p.m. officers responded to the vicinity of Hillcrest Avenue and Larkspur Drive.

ANTIOCH, CA -- Officers arrested a 19-year-old man Friday night after he led them on a chase in a stolen car, according to police. Around 8:35 p.m. officers responded to the vicinity of Hillcrest Avenue and Larkspur Drive for a report of a car jacking that had just occurred.
There, the victim, also a 19-year-old man, said he was sitting in his car in a parking lot when the suspect approached the car and pointed a gun at him. After he forcing the victim out of the car, the suspect got in
and fled, police said.
A short while later, officers located the stolen vehicle in the 4800 block of Lone Tree Way. When the officers tried to stop it, the suspect driver fled and collided with two other cars.

The suspect then got out of the vehicle and tried to run.
Officers, however, were able to apprehend him.

Officers recovered a discarded semiautomatic handgun in the area, according to police.
The suspect, whose name was not released, was arrested on suspicion of armed carjacking, possession of a loaded and concealed firearm and evading police.
Two people in the cars involved in the collision declined medical assistance, police said.
