Teen Caught In Pellet-Gun Shooting Spree: Concord PD

Police said the suspect shot at homes and cars in the area of North Larwin Avenue and Cowell Road in Concord, as well in Clayton.

CONCORD, CA — Police arrested a juvenile Monday night on suspicion of going on a pellet-gun shooting spree in Concord and Clayton, according to the Concord Police Department. A photo of the suspect's car was published Monday on the police department's Facebook page as police sought the person or persons responsible for a "recent series of incidents involving someone firing a pellet gun at residences and parked vehicles in the area of North Larwin Avenue and Cowell Road in Concord, as well as in the neighboring town of Clayton."

In an update Monday night, Concord PD reported that an officer spotted the suspect vehicle at 9:50 p.m. driving on Clayton Road near Thornwood Drive and conducted a traffic stop.

"The driver of the vehicle was determined to be a juvenile and was placed under arrest for shooting at occupied dwellings and vehicles," police said.

Concord police did not disclose the suspect's name, but said he was sent to Juvenile Hall for the alleged offenses.

Depending on the severity of crimes alleged, state law typically prevents publicizing the names of juvenile suspects.
