Teens Get Inside Look At Sheriff Operations In Contra Costa Summer Academy
The Contra Costa Sheriff invites teens to explore law enforcement careers through hands-on training sessions in Martinez this summer.
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA —Teenagers interested in law enforcement, public safety, and criminal investigations have until June 17 to apply for the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff's Teen Academy, a free summer program that offers an inside look at the agency's specialized units and career opportunities.
The Sheriff's Office is accepting applications from teens ages 13 to 17 for the academy, which will be held in Martinez on July 1, July 8, and July 15 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Participants will receive hands-on instruction from Sheriff's Office personnel and learn about a range of public safety operations, including SWAT, K-9 units, forensic investigations, drone operations, criminal investigations, and other specialized assignments.
