Employees from Torrey Pines Bank’s Oakland and Los Altos offices braved the 109 degree heat on Saturday, June 29, to participate in a volunteer day for Habitat for Humanity, to give back on the bank’s 10th Anniversary. Employees handled everything from a table saw to a framing hammer at the site at the end of Barkley Avenue in Walnut Creek. Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization dedicated to building simple, decent, affordable housing in partnership with people in need. Despite the heat and hard work, there were smiles at the end of the day knowing that employees had made a contribution to a great cause.
