It's official: Coronado is the newest addition to San Diego Community Power – San Diego Union-Tribune (sandiegouniontribune.com) — Coronado has officially joined San Diego Community Power, meaning residents will automatically be enrolled in a new community-choice electricity program projected to start locally around March 2028. Households and businesses will still receive SDG&E bills but can choose among several renewable-heavy plans or opt out to remain with SDG&E, with a Coronado councilmember now representing the city on the power agency's board.
