Big League Line-up Celebrates Halloween at Miracle League of San Diego in Coronado

CORONADO, CALIF. – The Miracle League of San Diego celebrated Halloween on Saturday, October 25, 2014, with Celebrity Pitcher Day and Halloween Costume Day at Green Field, 7th & G Ave
Coronado, CA 92118. The Miracle League of San Diego was created in 2005 so children with special needs would have the opportunity to play organized baseball in San Diego. Miracle League players had the rare opportunity to come face to face with some of their favorite Coronado celebrities including William ‘Bill’ Gore, San Diego Sheriff; Jane Mitchell, author and host of “One on One”; Casey Tanaka, Mayor of Coronado; John Weisbarth, local sportscaster.

“We would especially like to thank the Coronado Unified School District, our terrific sponsors and our amazing buddies and players for making this day great!” said Kenneth Blattenbauer, president of Miracle League of San Diego, “And nothing was more fun than watching Jane, Bill, Casey and John pitching to our players.”

Our fall 2014 season was made possible by our dedicated team sponsors; Blumenthal Insurance Services, Rotary Club of Coronado, Optimist Club of Coronado and Deep Blue Construction. Thank you for your continued support.
