Darlene White has been a longtime friend and supporter of PAWS of Coronado and Louise Shirey held her in the highest esteem. So everyone was very excited when Darlene agreed to be the emcee for Louise’s Celebration of Life this Friday.
Many of you may know Darlene from her Animal House Pet Segment on
XETV San Diego 6 News where she appears every morning with an adoptable pet from one of 40 local shelters and fostering agencies.

Darlene is also the Executive Director/Media Relations & Marketing for the San Diego Animal Support Foundation and an Honorary Board Member of PAWS of Coronado.
The Celebration of Life will run from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Coronado Bayside Grill in the Coronado Golf Course clubhouse with the presentation honoring Louise being held from 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm. Guest speakers include PAWS Chairman of the Board and longtime friend of Louise’s Sharon Sherman, City of Coronado Police Commander Waczek, close friend of Louise’s Janice Szumowski and former PAWS BOD and dear friend of Louise’s Norm Funk.

Friends and supporters of PAWS are encouraged to join us in this Celebration of an amazing woman who has done so much for our community and hundreds of orphaned cats and dogs.
Light appetizers, beer and wine will be served. The bar and restaurant will be open during the celebration.
This event is dog friendly with dogs allowed on the outside patio!
