The holidays aren’t only about spending more time with family; it’s also about the spirit of giving! On Wednesday, December 10, Uptown Tavern is hosting a holiday food drive and mixer for San Diegans to help a local school in need. From 5 to 7 p.m., drop off non-perishable food items at the Hillcrest hot spot and stay for a drink special (or two) to benefit the Aseltine School. Don’t forget to enter the opportunity drawing for a chance to win fun prizes throughout the night!

Located in Hillcrest, the Aseltine School is a non-public, non-profit school that serves severely at-risks youths from kindergarten through high school whose educational needs can’t be met in traditional academic settings.
