Man Stabbed Trying To Stop Fight Outside Bar In OB: Police

Police said the victim was attempting to curtail a disagreement outside Winston's Bar on Thursday.

OCEAN BEACH, CA – A man, who stepped in to break up a fight outside Winstons Bar in Ocean Beach, was stabbed and sent to a hospital early Thursday, authorities said.

The San Diego Police Department was called at 12:08 a.m. to 1900 Bacon Street after a 21-year-old male reportedly left the club, saw his friend in an altercation with another man and attempted to quell the altercation, but was stabbed in the right arm by a suspect described as white man in his 20s, officials said.

The unidentified suspect fled and is not in custody, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of a non life-threatening injury, the agency said.

The suspect was described as having tattoos on his right arm and wearing jeans and no shirt, police said.
