MTS Strike: Union Members to Vote on Labor Contract
If approved by First Transit employees, the agreement would end the strike that has lasted more than a week.

SAN DIEGO, CA: A strike involving more than 300 Metropolitan Transit System bus drivers and other public transportation employees in San Diego could potentially end soon.
The strike that began May 25 has halted service on 18 of 95 MTS bus routes as well as MTS Access, which provides paratransit for people with disabilities or medical issues such as dialysis to and from their appointments.
MTS announced in a Twitter post Thursday morning that "First Transit and its employees have reached a tentative agreement and will vote on a contract later today."
