• USS Abraham Lincoln carrier expected to return to San Diego area Thursday (10news.com) — The USS Abraham Lincoln is slated to return to Naval Air Station North Island around noon Thursday, and Coronado residents can watch from Coronado Dog Beach or other public bayfront spots if they lack base access. After a grueling, months-long deployment supporting operations in the Middle East, the carrier's homecoming will bring thousands of sailors back to the San Diego–Coronado area.
