Older and Wiser and Better for It!

The handsome Tuxedo cat Sox could be the poster child for why you should adopt a senior cat. He is such an agreeable and sweet boy and as with most older cats, he is great at giving unconditional love and companionship.

He loves spending time with his humans, thoroughly enjoying pets and the attention that goes along with them. Sox is very interactive and is quite the conversationalist, letting you know exactly what he is thinking and feeling as he looks you right in the eye.

Sox is an easy going fellow, but don’t underestimate his youthfulness. He still has plenty of energy after his deep cat naps and requires and enjoys mild exercise and entertainment. Currently his favorite cat toys to stalk and chase are sting and wand toys.

Abandoned at the front door of the shelter, Sox has adapted quickly to his new situation with nary a complaint, seeking solace from the loving care of the staff and volunteers. But, shelter living is harder on our senior cats and Sox would really appreciate and benefit from getting a new home. Sox is available for adoption or foster.

You can meet Sox at the Coronado Animal Care Facility any day between 9:00am and 4:00pm (except major holidays). The Coronado Animal Care Facility is located at 1395 First Street at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.

If you are interested in adopting Sox, you must first complete a Cat Adoption Application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado Cat Adoption Counselor. Cat adoption applications are available at the facility or you may complete an Online Cat Adoption Application.
