Sun & Sea Festival Parade Participants Wanted

PARADE PARTICIPANTS WANTED, ESPECIALLY MARCHING BANDS

Sun & Sea Festival Parade to Be Held Along Seacoast Drive on Saturday July 18

For those that have always wanted to participate in a parade, this is the year! So if you have a neighborhood kazoo band, you might want to strut your stuff at this year’s parade. The theme is: “Celebrating the Spirit of Happy Birthday Imperial Beach” as we commemorate the City’s 59th birthday on July 18. Birthday decorations, costumes and music are encouraged.

There is no charge to enter the parade, but each participant must apply first. There is an online application which includes all the information you need to know to participate. The deadline to submit your application for the Sun and Sea Festival Parade is Friday, June 26, 2015. The parade starts at 9 a.m.

How to apply: Applicants will be asked to provide the number and type of entrants so to efficiently arrange the order of the parade. For instance, keeping separate the Doberman Club from the Friends of Cats. Groups will also be asked to submit a description of your group for the announcers to read.
