• Connor Wildey Killed in Santa Cruz County Accident on Merk and Corralitos Roads (pacificattorneygroup.com) — A 23-year-old motorcyclist from Scotts Valley died after a pickup turning from Corralitos Road onto Merk Road collided with his bike in a morning crash last week. Authorities say both drivers used safety gear, no alcohol or drugs are suspected, and the California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause, a concern for anyone driving local rural roads.
