• Redwood National Park Burn Closures Hit October 22 to 26 (deeparrival.com) — If you’re heading from Crescent City into Redwood National and State Parks, expect intermittent closures on Lyons Ranch Trail October 22–26 while crews conduct prescribed burns in the Bald Hills. Most other trails, including Simpson Reed and Tall Trees, remain open, but the park urges hikers and backcountry campers to check the NPS conditions page daily, monitor smoke and air quality forecasts for Crescent City and Orick, and have backup routes ready.
