Sims Steps Down โ€“ Dunlop Appointed as Interim CCPD Chief (culvercitycrossroads.com) โ€” Culver City residents will soon see a change at the top of their police department, as Chief Jason Sims plans to retire in February 2027 and begin paid leave on November 1. Assistant Chief Troy Dunlop, a nearly 25-year CCPD veteran, has been approved by the City Council to serve as interim chief starting November 2 following a closed-session evaluation.
