Culver City Football Stays Put in Poll

The Centaurs remain No. 7 in the CIF-SS Western Division rankings.

The CIF Southern Section office has released this week's Top 10 football rankings, and held at No. 7 in the Western Division after last .

Ocean League rival Santa Monica (4-0) moved onto the "others under consideration" list after its 42-0 drubbing of Anaheim Canyon.

St. Paul moved ahead of Mission League rival Chaminade into the No. 1 spot after routing Garfield of the City Section 31-8. Chaminade fell to No. 2 after its 38-14 loss to Alemany of the Pac-5 Division. Arroyo Grande held at No. 3, Serra held at No. 4, St. Francis held at No. 5 and Santa Maria St. Joseph held at No. 6 after defeating Chula Vista Mater Dei of the San Diego Section.

Dominguez remains No. 8 behind Culver City, Atascadero held at No. 9 and Ventura remained 10th.

Harbor City Narbonne (1-2), which will travel to Culver City in Week 5, stayed at No. 2 in the City Section Division I rankings by MaxPreps even though it lost to Tesoro 22-13 last Thursday.

Culver City hosts Leuzinger (0-3) of the Bay League on Friday. The Olympians lost to Santa Monica 35-0 in their season opener. Beverly Hills lost to Peninsula 32-28 on Friday—the same Panthers team the Centaurs routed 42-7 in Week 2.
