Families Seek Help Finding Missing Venice Children

Two children, 12 and 14, went missing near Mark Twain Middle School Saturday.

Two children went missing near a school in Venice on Saturday and their family and friends are asking for the public’s help in the search to find them.

Ashley Montes, 12, and Timothy Jacob Reed, 14, were last seen together around 4 p.m. near Mark Twain Middle School, said Officer Mike Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Montes and Reed were friends, Lopez said.

Both of their families are working with police to aid in the investigation, he said.

Montes is a Hispanic female with black hair and brown eyes. She is 4 feet 8 inches talls and weighs 80 pounds.

Reed is a Hispanic male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5 foot 7 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds.
