Dining Spots in Culver City that Let You Bring Your Dog

As someone who takes long walks with the pups every day, I often end up in downtown Culver City and think it would be nice to stop for a bit and relax with them.  Some restaurants are more dog-friendly than others, so here are some tips on grabbing a bite with your furry friend.

One note, however. If your pet is not particularly people friendly, don't bring them onto crowded patios.  The Wood on Inglewood and Washington stopped allowing pets on their patio after one bit a member of their wait staff. Use common sense if considering bringing your dog to dinner.

LYFE Kitchen:  this was a welcome addition to downtown Culver City because of the healthy fare, but for dog lovers it's an especially great place.  You are welcome to bring your dog into the outside patio.  Grab a corner spot for the best seating with Fido.  They always offer to bring out water, and the staff are very friendly toward them.

Tender Greens:  The best spot is the front corner because you can keep your dog on the outside of the fenced area, which is what they prefer.  It's an alley so they will be fine there and can still sit with you.

Starbucks at Washington and Culver: One of the nicest Starbucks anywhere, this patio is always popular with dog owners.  On any weekend you will see lots of furry friends nestled under the tables next to their owners.

S&W Diner: There are only a couple of outside tables here and it's somewhat narrow of an area, but if you have a smaller dog who is well behaved, this is fine.

Chipotle: They will allow your dog to sit next to you on the outside of the fenced area, but it is relatively open so your pup shouldn't feel too left out.

Daphne's: This Greek cafe has some nice outside tables a step down from their main seating area.  The tables are quite big so your dog should be able to lie down right under it.

Rush: I haven't brought my dogs here, but I have definitely seen some on the patio.  Double-check with them before showing up. The patio is pretty packed with tables, so this would be best for a dog who is willing to sit quietly under the table.

Outside the Downtown Area

Metro Diner: You can have your pup in the outside seating area, but this is probably better for smaller dogs since it is a very busy place with a lot of foot traffic on the sidewalk. (If you haven't tried the Metro Diner's goulash or French toast you don't know what you're missing).

I will add more places as I discover them. If you have a restaurant in Culver City that welcomes dogs, please shoot me a message with your policies. I'll be sure to add them to the list.
