Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch Will Not Open In Culver City For 2020
But the 33-year-old, pumpkin biz will keep Halloween going this year with pick-up and delivery services and virtual, carving classes.

CULVER CITY, CA — Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch, a Halloween tradition since 1987, will not open its annual extravaganza this year in Culver City, due to the coronavirus pandemic. The seasonal business, however, plans to keep alive the festive vibe this year with pick-up and delivery options and online virtual events.

"Due to the current rate of infection in L.A., Mr. Bones will not be opening the pumpkin patch this season," operators said. "But we will be here to help you create your own spooky fun, pumpkin patch experience."
"Mr. Bones @ Home" launches Oct. 3 with pumpkins and other Halloween supplies available for pick-up or delivery, along with a roster of such offerings as live music, carving and painting classes via social-media channels.

In years past, Mr. Bones held its Halloween spectacular on Jefferson Boulevard with pony rides, a petting zoo, straw maze, kids' activities and an elaborate "Pumpkin Village."
The holiday business is not alone in the Greater L.A. region coping with COVID-19 fallout.
Another popular pumpkin patch, Mr. Jack O'Lanterns on North Highland Avenue in Hollywood, announced this week it is reopening for 2020 — but with some changes and restrictions, along with home-delivery services.
The Los Angeles Haunted Hayride, a longtime Griffith Park tradition, is switching to a drive-up format in San Dimas. And the annual, "Nights of the Jack" walk-through experience, at King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas, will operate this year as a drive-thru.
